Job Description:
 
The Director of Health Services for our community must hold a current RN in the state of Montana. The Registered Nurse assures that any issues that could potentially impact upon the health and well being of the residents are effectively addressed. The RN also has the opportunity to teach and train the care staff and medication staff of our community  to perform health service responsibilities effectively and graciously. The RN Oversees the service planning and care provided to our residents. They also performs certain duties related to employee health and safety. 
 
Qualifications:
  • Senior Care Experience Preferred but not required
  • Montana RN License
  • Ability to put residents first
  • Multitasking in a fast paced environment
  • Organized and effective in keeping track of multiple deadlines
  • "Can Do" Attitude- not every task assigned is going to be super fun, but we need someone who will tacked the mundane with the same enthusiasm as the extraordinary
  • Good judgement and professional maturity
  • Ability to lead in industry of constant change
  • Strong computer skills
  • Successful employee management experience

Responsibilities:
  • Performs all responsibilities related to RN delegation of nursing tasks
  • Conducts continuing education and training for health services employees and other employees as necessary
  • Assists with the initial screening of residents or delegates appropriately
  • Monitors physician orders/laboratory results and assures correct implementation
  • Monitors alert charting, especially to ensure appropriate employee response to issues and to determine the need for an RN assessment
  • Monitors and addresses consulting pharmacy reports
  • Monitors resident incident reports
  • Advises health services employees concerning resident health issues
  • Assesses residents as necessary, addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual issues
  • Assists in the development of service plans, assuring health service issues, as well as other service issues that potentially impact upon health, are effectively addressed
  • Attends service plan meetings as necessary
  • Assures compliance with all federal and state regulations pertaining to health services
  • Performs all new resident assessments
