The developer also reports directly to the CIO who's a former Silicon Valley Product Manager with over a decade of experience in building cloud apps.

This position is mainly remote, with travel to the corporate office downtown Milwaukee once to twice per month on average, so candidates within our Wisconsin territory is preferred. Illinois/Chicago could also be an option if the candidate is ok with traveling to Milwaukee as needed.

Job Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, the Platform Integration Developer will design, plan, develop, implement, and maintain web-based software solutions for the integration, optimization, and enabling the flow of information between various systems within the organization in both business and clinical use. 

Work with various business teams and stakeholders to determine solution requirements. Develop software, messaging, and database architectures to support platform integrations. Coordinate operations with others to guarantee on-time completion of integration projects. Researches and continually innovates by developing strategies and designs for system integrations. Ensure that the organization adheres to best practices in integration procedures, including best practices around data handling, privacy, cyber-risk, and governing laws such as HIPAA. Analyze and improve existing system integration as well as migration techniques. Maintains development systems and architecture, including Linux-based platforms and recommends system architectures. Other related tasks as assigned and in accordance with desired skills.

Job Requirements 

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a full-stack, web software development role. Experience with ETL tools and methods and knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, or other language(s) Experience with web services, HTML, virtualization, containers, Git, and CI/CD pipelines, and use of API’s. Outstanding programming talents in maintenance, code development, and implementation of web applications and SaaS application integrations, databases (SQL and No-SQL), and modern full-stack design. Extensive understanding of development processes, integrations, and integration structures. Interpersonal skills and the aptitude to work with other people in various business areas are required. A sharp eye for detail and the ability to detect and correct faults in complicated code. Logical and problem-solving skills are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills across a range of audiences.
