Location: Yorktown, IN area
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to join our team on a full-time basis in the Yorktown, IN area. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students by conducting evaluations, developing intervention plans, and collaborating with school personnel to ensure the success of students receiving special education services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services, including assessments of cognitive abilities, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning.
- Develop individualized intervention plans based on assessment results and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to implement and monitor student progress.
- Provide consultation and support to school personnel regarding academic and behavioral interventions, classroom accommodations, and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding appropriate services and accommodations for students with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and consultations.
Qualifications:
- Indiana Psychologist license required.
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Experience working in educational settings, particularly with elementary-aged students, preferred.
- Strong assessment, intervention planning, and consultation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
