SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Specialist will assist in maintaining the Unit's food safety policies, procedures, and initiatives. This individual collaborates with departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and promote a culture of food safety.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain and review quality documentation and records within a timely manner.

· Track the progress of quality metrics and key performance indicators.

· Perform daily spot checks in production areas to ensure compliance with client specifications.

· Perform visual inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure compliance with regulations.

· Perform daily unit inspections and GEMBA walks of the facility.

· Monitor the cleaning and sanitation program.

· Facilitate reviews, discuss inspection results with those responsible, and recommend corrective actions.

· Support and manage the food safety program.

· Provide training to employees on food safety rules and regulations.

· Provide recommendations for improvement.

· Participate in external/internal audits.

· Collaborate with the operations team to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.


Required Education and Experience:

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in food safety or in a related field

· Degree in a related field preferred but not required.
