The Direct Sales Representative - DSR, is responsible for driving sales across Consolidated Communications’ assigned serviceable area. Actively and consistently engages with customers in a direct-to-consumer environment to drive the sale of Consolidated Communications product and services.
Responsibilities
Residential Door-to-Door Engagement in Assigned Areas: Step into the role of Fidium's brand ambassador in residential communities while honing your communication and relationship-building skills - especially valuable for those transitioning from customer service or retail. Neighborhood Market Analysis and Prospecting: Sharpen your analytical abilities by identifying key neighborhoods for Fidium through understanding market trends and customer preferences, offering a chance to develop a keen insight into consumer behavior. Customized Solution Presentation for Diverse Clients: Learn to tailor your approach for different clients, from homeowners to local businesses and apartment complexes, nurturing negotiation skills and the ability to adapt messaging to diverse audiences. Representation at Company-Sponsored Community Events: Grow your public speaking and networking skills by representing Fidium at various events. Whether you're experienced in such environments or new to them, these events are perfect for building your professional presence and outreach skills. Focused Re-engagement and Relationship Cultivation: Develop the art of strategic follow-ups, crucial for building lasting customer relationships, refining your approach through direct feedback and interaction. Participation in Event Planning and Execution: Get involved in the organization of company events, a skill set that's highly transferable and valuable across many career paths, enhancing your ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively in a team setting. Engagement with Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs): Specialize in understanding and addressing the unique needs of MDUs where you'll grow in areas of account management and strategic planning, key competencies in any outreach-focused career.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Proven ability to sell services in a door-to-door or direct-to-consumer environment A proven ability to succeed in a goal and incentive-based work environment Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers and suppliers, in person, on the phone and by written communication in a clear, straight-forward and professional manner High comfort level with personal technology such as mobile devices Knowledge and ability to use computer and software applications Ability to travel as required to assist in other market sales campaigns or event support required License required: Valid State Driver's License and a satisfactory driving recordEducation
High School diploma or GED, some college or equivalent work experience preferredPreferred Qualifications
Experience in selling door-to-door or direct-to-consumer environment, customer service, or experience with related telecommunications products such as mobile phone or cable TV
