With the expansion of our newest location in Raleigh, we are excited to introduce catering services to this dynamic market.

We are looking for a talented and driven Catering Sales Associate to join our team and help us establish and grow our catering presence.

As the Catering Sales Associate for Midwood Smokehouse in Raleigh, you will play a pivotal role in launching and driving our catering services. Your primary responsibilities will include driving sales, making connections, and managing relationships to grow our catering business. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive catering sales strategy for Midwood Smokehouse in Raleigh, targeting local businesses, event planners, and community organizations.
  • Work closely with the Director of Operations to align goals, leverage resources, and ensure brand consistency.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, event planners, and community organizations to generate new catering opportunities.
  • Manage the entire sales process, from initial inquiry through to final execution, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for every client.
  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Raleigh market, tapping into local events and networking channels.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop customized catering menus that reflect Midwood Smokehouse’s signature barbecue flavors and meet client needs.
  • Ensure all catering orders are prepared, delivered, and set up on time, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Provide hands-on catering execution when necessary, including delivery and set-up at events.
  • Follow up on catering orders to ensure client satisfaction, identify additional opportunities, and drive repeat business.
  • Represent Midwood Smokehouse at local events, trade shows, and community activities to build brand awareness and generate leads.
  • Track and report on sales performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize growth and ensure targets are met.
  • Support the restaurant management team assisting with operations as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in catering sales, event planning, or related fields, with a track record of growing business and generating leads.
  • Strong understanding of the Raleigh market and local connections within the community.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with TripleSeat or similar software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a deep appreciation for barbecue and Southern cuisine.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
