Job Description:

As a Stock Clerk/Cashier, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, ensuring the sales floor is well-stocked and organized, and providing excellent customer service at the checkout counter. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, unload, and organize incoming merchandise
  • Stock shelves, racks, and displays with new products
  • Ensure accurate labeling, pricing, and placement of merchandise
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and sales floor
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock audits
  • Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately
  • Provide assistance to customers in locating products and answering inquiries
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders and ensure timely stock replenishment
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines for handling merchandise and operating equipment

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in retail, stockroom operations, or cashiering preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes and merchandise
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
