As a Collision Center Disassembly Technician, you will be responsible for making quality repairs to customer vehicles, providing top-notch customer service, making a commitment to always doing things right and to continually improve.

Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble damaged parts from vehicle and put on parts rack.
  • Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is necessary.
  • Communicate with Estimator regarding damaged parts.
  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Advise Service Advisor/Estimator if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the time quoted.
  • Document work on repair orders.
  • Ensure customer cars are kept clean, undamaged, and without changes to the comfort, convenience systems or audio system settings.  Notifies the Service Advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
  • Keep shop area neat and clean.
  • Account for all dealership-owned tools at all times.
  • Wear appropriate PPE, including regular use of company provided safety goggles.
  • Appropriately and safely operate all tools and equipment as mandated through safety training. 
  • Report safety issues and/or equipment defects or malfunction issues to management immediately.
  • Attend all dealership and service department meetings when requested.
  • Maintain a professional, clean and business appearance.
  • Demonstrating behaviors consistent with Lewis Automotive Group values.

Specific Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must submit to pre-employment screening; background check, motor vehicle report, and drug screen.
  • Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
