Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Provides leadership to employees and supervisors while overseeing routine daily and seasonal property maintenance
  • Develops integrated systems that may combine commercial programs, open-source software, and locally developed code
  • Provides expert knowledge of software development, data design, systems and business analysis techniques
  • Determines the hardware and software required to deploy the system
  • Develops customer partnerships
  • Leads and participates in DEI initiatives and trainings


Systems Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of Computer Science or Engineering
  • Five+ years of experience in the design, development, and implementation of networked computer systems
  • 2+ years of experience developing solutions used in complex multi-threaded applications
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, Ruby, Go, Rust, or JavaScript. Knowledge of structured programming and design techniques. Familiarity with computer security systems, including public-key cryptography.
  • Demonstrated skill in the administration of operating systems such as Windows, Linux
  • Ability to automate simple and complex tasks using programming, scripting
  • Demonstrated skills in using web servers and application servers such as Apache Tomcat, JBoss/Wildfly
  • Demonstrated skills in database technologies such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle
  • Demonstrated skill in cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Evangelizes DevOps best practices such as CI/CD pipelines, Agile, and automated testing
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, and protocols
  • The ability to develop partnerships with customers
