Description:

You will be the F-16 Build Team center or forward fuselage assembly, component installation and operational checkout Section, Production Lead, for the Lockheed Martin Greenville Team. Our team is responsible for the assembly completion of the forward fuselage section.

What You Will Be Doing

The Production Lead will be required to interface with multiple functional organizations, in addition to the managers/supervisor and crew to resolve issues or constraints in the aircraft assembly/production environment. In this capacity the lead will status, communicate and support production goals and objectives of the day/week, assess skill and complexity of tasks, issue work assignments, establish nominal expectation of tasks by obtaining personal contract for each task period of performance with each of the employees; set, check and adjust to meet realization and build performance objectives. Instill product disciplines to align with Production imperatives of Safety, Quality Schedule & Cost which include but not limited too; fall protection, critical moves and crane lifts, use & disposal of hazardous materials, adherence and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), material handling and storage of staged and work-in-process (WIP) parts, chemical control and labeling, clean as you go, housekeeping and Tool & FOD control.

The candidate will be required to support corrective action investigations, root cause analysis, advise on and implement innovations and process improvements, as well as maintain 6S/lean processes for their area of responsibility.

The Production Lead will be considered a working lead that will maintain certifications and qualifications to perform production tasks as required as well as other associated duties which may include Collateral Duty Quality Inspector and On-the-Job Trainer for all work performed by their assigned crew.

This position requires working knowledge and skills in hydraulic system installations including pressure application and test. Lead must be skilled in avionics operation and electrical harness fabrication and routing.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must have 6 years experience relative to aircraft Manufacturing, Maintenance, Modification, Repair, & Overhaul on fighter and/or commercial Aircraft.

Candidate must have been previously awarded an Air Force, Marine, Navy, or Army 7-level discipline skill rating in an aircraft maintenance related field and/or equivalent experience.
Desired Skills:
Possess an Airframe and/or Powerplant License

FCC Certifications or equivalent civilian experience with associated training credentials such as formal military training certificates or manufacturer training credentials.

Experience with operational Avionics.

Experience in Electrical harness fabrication, route and install.

Experience in Pneumatic and oxygen system tubing handling.

Ability to problem solve.

Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills.

Ability to lead a team to meet critical schedules and resolve technical issues.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications with ability apply their intent.

Ability to understand aircraft work instructions.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
