Job Summary:

The basic responsibility of this position is to provide cleaning and upkeep of the public areas in Employee Residences at a specific location. The DC will follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules and work with the Housing Manager/Assistant and Residence Coordinators on special projects as needed.

The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: Starting August 13th or 27th - Mid October 2024
Pay: $15/hr.
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days/per week (may include weekends, and holidays)

Responsibilities

Responsible for cleaning and upkeep of the public areas in employee residences at a specific location. Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules and work with the Housing Manager/Assistant and Residence Coordinators on special projects as needed. Safe, thorough cleaning of employee dorms and their immediate vicinity. Use of proper operating and preventative maintenance techniques with Company issued equipment and cleaning agents such as vacuum cleaners and chemicals. Handle issued keys with proper level of security. Support efforts of fellow staff members and contribute to the team effort in whatever capacity may be needed. Serve as a role model for residents. The minimum expected is the personal observation of all residence hall regulations, Xanterra Parks & Resorts policies, state and federal laws. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Interpersonal communication skills. Basic knowledge of housekeeping procedures. Organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and as a team player. Demonstrated skills relating to training, time management, organization, leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication. Familiarity with seasonal housing operations preferred.

Physical Requirements include:

Must be capable of moving/lifting objects up to 50 pounds and maintain a moderate level of exertion. Ability to walk moderate distances and climb stairs multiple times throughout shift. Ability to sustain periods of standing, bending, flexing, pushing/pulling vacuum, performing cleaning duties as needed Must be able to walk up to one mile continuously. Must be able to kneel or lay flat on the ground to inspect employee rooms and bathrooms. Must be able to walk on uneven terrain, including icy and snow-covered areas.
