Overview

Kemin is seeking a talented and dedicated Warehouser at our Urbandale warehouse location. The successful candidate will be in charge of and responsible for handling the shipping and receiving of all materials (bulk and packaged) physically and via computer while maintaining all Food Safety standards. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 9:00AM - 5:15PM.

Responsibilities

Must be qualified and able to perform all tasks and duties of a Warehouser 1 and
Warehouser 2. Responsible for all incoming and outgoing bulk tankers and Railcars. Responsible for incoming receipts and verifying all paperwork for inbound/outbound
shipments. Responsible for updating computer system for incoming and outgoing materials Follow all operating procedures and warehousing processes. Must be able to run inventory reports and conduct cycle counts upon request. Perform timely and accurate inventory transactions. Must obtain/maintain scissor lift license Coordinate information between shipping/receiving and other departments within Kemin. Wrap loads of finished goods. Load/unload trucks, trailers, containers, and bulk tankers. Handle hazardous materials in high concentration levels exercising extreme caution to
ensure there are no accidents. Ensure all items shipped or received meet quality standards (. properly labeled bags,
correct products, lot numbers, and quantities on a pallet, pallets properly stacked,
damages, defined within regulatory and quality standards in accordance with
standard operating procedures (SOP's). Must adhere to all safety requirements. May need to work with driver to ensure the shipment is loaded, balanced, sealed, and
secured prior to transport, as applicable to Business Unit.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of experience. Forklift certification is a plus.  Knowledge of warehousing operations is essential. Computer knowledge. Ability to operate a forklift and other support equipment used in warehousing on material
handling equipment Must be reliable and have good attendance. Strong safety values. Must be able to multi-task and have effective problem-solving skills and strong math skills. Ability to use hand tools for normal preventative equipment maintenance and cleaning. Problem-solving skills. Must have good interpersonal communication. Ability to analyze, inspect, and calculate orders, purchase orders. Ability to follow specific protocol for loading/unloading. Ability to read process flow charts and follow standard operating procedures. Understanding of material safety requirements
