Computer Scientist – Military – Relocation Available

JT4 is hiring a Computer Scientist III for their JSE (Joint Simulation Environment) located onsite on Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide software development related to modeling and simulation systems that support developmental and operation test and evaluation (DT&E and OT&E) test programs. These systems primarily consist of computer networks and system integration laboratories (SIL), but could also involve hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) facilities, integrating digital and analog processors, cockpit displays and controls, aircraft, weapons, environmental, and threat models, databases, and operational flight program software related to interactive man-in-the-loop battlespace environments.
The incumbent will develop software and support the verification and validation of software, models and data from avionics, sensor, EW and weapons related test of manned and unmanned modeling and simulated combat aircraft, and threat and missile systems. After analysis, results of the tests are compared with system performance, mission requirements, and test plan objectives, and the outcome is presented in the form of understandable and accurate plots, tables, and other graphic representations.
Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise in the area of software development, integration of models, armament, sensor and electronic warfare systems for a complex integrated battlespace modeling and simulation environments consisting of digital and analog processors, cockpit displays and controls, mechanical and electrical interfaces, and operational flight program software.
Required Skillset
Must have a bachelor's degree in an associated discipline and at least 4 years of related experience, or a master's degree in an associated discipline and at least 2 years of experience, or a PhD in an associated discipline.Proficient in C++Knowledge in hardware and software design and documentation techniquesKnowledge and understanding of Windows, Linux operating systemsMust have at least a Secret Security clearance and the ability to get TS/SCI with programsEffective oral and written communication skillsDesired Skillset
Proficiency in Object Oriented ProgrammingProficiency in Network programming (decomposition and packaging, UDP)User interface programming (QT)Event based programmingKnowledge with testing, deployment, configuration management and software sustainmentExperience with systems engineering and software development lifecycles.Knowledge with version control systems such as GITKnowledge with software modeling and simulation integrating one or more of the following: sensors, electronic warfare systems, communication links, databases, aircraft, threat models, databases and weapons systemsKnowledge with integrating software and modeling environments consisting of digital and analog processors, cockpit displays and controls, mechanical and electrical interfaces and flight program softwareBackground with coding or modeling using MIL-STD-1760 or 1553 data bus characteristics along with experience with Air-to Air and Air to ground weaponsExperience working in a closed environment with limited external accessAbility to program (various languages and protocols), integrate/manipulate models and generate computer networks for virtual, live, and constructive simulation of combat aircraft avionics, armament, or electronic warfare systems. (C++, Linux, Windows, QT, etc.)Knowledge of advanced concepts, principles, and techniques across multiple interrelated and integrated technical and test engineering disciplines applied to modeling and simulation of combat aircraft avionics, armament, or electronic warfare systems or related systems/subsystems.Knowledge of flight and laboratory air vehicle/missile test conduct, coordination and supervision, data analysis/evaluation and applicable flight test truth sources, modeling and simulation systems and techniques, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of flight test programs.Coding and modeling of weapons data links and GPS characteristics.BENEFITS
