Job Description

ITW Hartness is looking for motivated individuals to enter our technical scholar program with an interest in learning to work as a Mechanical/Electrical Technician in our Assembly team. At the successful completion of the program, you will have the mechanical and electrical skills to work with our state-of the art packaging equipment to complete complex mechanical and electrical assembly as well as perform diagnostic and functional testing.

  What we are looking for:  

A positive, enthusiastic, self-driven, and reliable team member. A strong work ethic and desire to be a part of a culture of excellence. You must be able to learn and understand assembly tools and equipment. You will need to work safely in a fast-paced team environment and meet the production schedule while producing high quality work. Ability to troubleshoot and find the root cause of issues as well as think logically about solutions.  Critical thinking skills to diagnose problems and repair issues in an effective manner  Multitasking capability with ability to identify and execute priority tasks. 

Qualifications

Education and Experiences:  

Be enrolled as a full-time student at a partnered Technical College or High School with ITW Hartness. Have and maintain a minimum GPA. High School Diploma or working towards completion of High School Diploma. 1 year of mechanical education or related work experience. Interest in developing a strong mechanical/electrical background.

  Physical Demands:

The ability to stand or walk for 8-10 hours a day  Capable of lifting 35 lbs.  Capable of bending, twisting, crouching, or kneeling
