Job Summary

The Specialist allows students from the Division of Communication and Performing Arts into edit suites, the radio station, and recording studio. The Specialist will also track those who are allowed to enter Division areas. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Responsible for allowing only authorized students into edit suites and studios.
Monitors and enforces edit suite and studio usage policies. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Continued Help to keep edit suites and news rooms clean and organized.

Checks all edit suites at the end of shift to make sure they are secure and to take inventory of edit suite equipment.

Assist in bundling The Globe for mail distribution.

Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications -High School Diploma.
-Student of Salt Lake Community College and awarded Work Study. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Adobe Premiere, Pro Tools, Midi, and/or Adobe Audition preferred.
Student in the Division of Communication and Performing Arts preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities -Microsoft Office.

-Good Customer Service skills.
-Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College. Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background of community college students, faculty and staff, including those with disabilities. Non-Essential Responsibilities and Duties Help answer editing questions that students may have while working in the edit bays.

Train themselves on software and systems in the Division of Communication and Performing Arts CAM areas.
