Kelly Science has immediate needs for a Manufacturing Associates in a fast paced biotechnology industry located in Durham NC. This is a contract role that is anticipated to go through the end of the year. New graduates with a focus on Science/Pharmaceuticals welcome to apply 

Location: Durham NC
Shift: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
Hourly Pay Rate: $24


Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the buildout and qualification of new manufacturing suites for viral vectors and vaccines
  • Assist with startup activities in the designated area
  • Assist in commissioning and qualification of production equipment
  • Provide input for the review and creation of operation documents
  • Operate on the manufacturing floor following cGMPs and standard operating procedures
  • Prepare equipment for manufacturing operations and monitor equipment performance
  • Use and maintain benchtop equipment according to procedures
  • Demonstrate understanding of cGMPs and apply to specific responsibilities
  • Follow accurate oral and written procedures when operating production equipment
  • Maintain orderliness of process area
  • Practice safe work habits and adhere to safety procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to formally gown working in cleanroom environments
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years experience in cGMP manufacturing environment, or Bachelor’s degree in Scientific industry with some GMP knowledge
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for 6 hours in a production suite
  • Ability to gown and gain entry to manufacturing areas
  • Ability to work weekends, including holidays as scheduled
