About the Role:

Imagine yourself as a  Fleet Operations Assistant , where you will be responsible for maintaining and managing fleet vehicles. Your duties will include performing oil changes, inspections, outfitting, cleaning, and troubleshooting fleet vehicles. You will also be responsible for driving a ¾ truck, towing trailers, and loading/unloading fleet trucks. This role requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to respond to callouts during the week, with occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities:

Operational Activity : Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and inspections. Outfitting and cleaning of fleet vehicles. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues. Drive and manage fleet vehicles, including towing and loading/unloading. Respond to callouts and be on-call every other weekend. Travel and overnight stays may be required occasionally.

Competencies:

Mechanical Inclination : Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities. Driving Skills : Experience driving a ¾ truck and towing trailers. Self-Starter : Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Communication : Excellent interpersonal skills for team collaboration. Problem Solving : Ability to identify and implement cost-effective solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be mechanically inclined. Must live within - minutes of Odessa, TX. Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift lbs., climb ladders, and stairs. Walking, bending, and stooping are required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
