Staff Speech and Language Pathologists are responsible for direct patient care, evaluating, and treating a variety of individuals based upon setting. The successful candidate will exhibit strong: customer service skills, clinical skills, and patient outcomes. They must practice with high moral and professional standards and be driven toward continuous professional development. Effective time management and teamwork skills are an essential quality that will allow success in contributing to the operation of the Health System.
Duties/Responsibilities
Practices consistent with, and is knowledgeable of, ASHA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice Guidelines, as well as state laws. Effective time management skills including ability to meet productivity standards and completes documentation with quality/completeness. Supports and participates in process improvement efforts of the department and health system. Assists in facilitation of coordination of care with healthcare team, community resources, patient/caregivers to improve the wellness, function, and quality of life of those served. Achieves high quality patient outcomes through continued professional development and usage of evidence based practice.Position Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Prefer knowledge/proficiency with Modified Barium Swallow Studies.Minimum/Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree. Education shall be obtained from a clinically approved Speech Pathology program. Must have a current license or is license eligible by the State of Ohio. ASHA - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence Licensed Speech & Language Pathologist BLS - Basic Life Support Experience with PCs, Word ProcessingPreferred Qualifications
