HITACHI RAIL  is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, self-motivated Test and Commissioning Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of leadership tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA or Brussels, Belgium.

Position responsibilities:

Coordinate the planning and activities for test and commissioning engineers localized in Brussels, Belgium.  Periodic travel to Brussels to support the execution of site test cases during the day, night shift and on the weekends with the client or internal (30% travel). Develop reports and metrics for monitoring and reporting status of all planned activities across multiple project phases. Support the local test and commissioning lead in preparing correspondence and formal responses to the end client. Oversee test and commissioning activities with effective stakeholder management, project management, and conflict management. Ensure effective collaboration for the planning and preparation of continuous client demonstrations, site testing, and laboratory testing. Organize the feedback from testing campaigns on-site and in the lab effectively using a defined defect management and reporting process. Development of site test procedures including creation, review, and client acceptance.

Required Skills/Knowledge  

· Minimum of 5-10 years working experience in a technical software leadership role preferably test oriented 

· Willingness to travel to Brussels, Belgium to support/execute site test cases during the day, night shifts, and weekends with the client or internal (30%)

· Expertise using project management practices and tools

· Excellent stakeholder management skills.

· Attention to detail and continuously evaluating the short-term and long-term priorities of the test and commissioning team’s activities.

· Ability to plan, coordinate and prioritize workloads independently and proactively.

· Strong Testing acumen with the ability to generate, review, and execute test cases in a Linux based software environment.

· Strong IT skills, in particular high proficiency in the use of Linux, Scripting languages, and MS Office Applications (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and MS Project)

· Strong written skills, excellent written English and able to produce precise and concise reports and meeting notes. 

· Ability to understand Hitachi Rail’s core and digital products and solutions. 

· Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  Education/Qualifications  

· Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Computer Science) 

Languages  
· Fluent in English (written & spoken), French and Italian are a large plus.
