We’re hiring a motion planning engineer in our autonomy software team. In this role, you’ll work with multiple stakeholders including Product, Engineering (hardware and software), and Operations to develop and improve our motion planning system. You’ll be researching, designing and implementing enhancements as a core member of the team.

Play an integral role on a small and focused teamResearch, develop and implement algorithms for path planning for an autonomous vehicleImprove robot capabilities by introducing new robot maneuvers in collaboration with the product team.Leverage simulation to test and improve your algorithmsContribute to the architecture of a safe and redundant system

We’re excited about you because…

Experience in at least one of the following: search algorithms, optimization, probabilistic robotics (POMDP), computational geometryIn-depth knowledge of data structures and advanced algorithms.Strong C++ experienceIndustry experience designing, implementing and extending algorithmsMS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or related technical fieldNice to have experience includes:Experience building metrics to evaluate robot performanceExperience with machine learning techniques applied to motion planningExperience developing robotic system evaluationPrior experience in the self-driving vehicle space
