Job Summary

We are seeking anexperienced IACUC Coordinator to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located  in Cambridge, MA, or Philadelphia, PA.

As the IACUC Coordinator , you will be responsible for coordinating Charles River Accelerator & Development Labs (CRADL) IACUC functions and the IACUC review process across multiple sites, including performing administrative reviews of protocols. Develop and maintain good client relationships. Ensure clients are on-boarded to the IACUC program in a timely manner. Generate reports for facility inspections and program reviews and maintain the IACUC databases. Assignments involve work of an extremely confidential or complex nature.

Additional responsibilities include:

Review, comprehend and comply with The Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, PHS policy, AVMA guidelines and other applicable regulations and policies. Review, comprehend and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other internal guidance and policy documents and quality assurance standards. Manage and track protocols, amendments, and annual reviews through electronic system, and provide other reports and consultation services to clients. Maintain electronic copies of all protocol-related documentation and IACUC guidance documents. Assist in maintaining the calendar for Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) meetings, Semi-Annual site inspections and Semi-Annual Program Reviews, and AAALAC site visits. Set up appointments and keep central calendar of key dates for group projects. Schedule and assist the IACUC with conducting facility inspections. Assist with committee member recruitment, renewal, training, and continuing education. Assist in the coordination of IACUC meetings by preparing agenda, circulating documentation, assigning primary and secondary reviews of new Animal Use Protocols and amendments, attend IACUC meetings, ensure meeting room ready, take attendance, take meeting notes, write minutes, get minutes approved and signed then forward to appropriate individuals and offices.

Job Qualifications

The following are minimum requirements related to the IACUC Coordinator position.

Associate degree (A.A./A.S.) or Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in animal, laboratory, or life science field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years working in animal programs supporting veterinary staff or lab animal programs required. Administrative experience preferred. Previous IACUC experience preferred. Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification from AALAS preferred.

The pay range for this position is $31-37 USD per hour USD per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
