Job Summary

CyberOptics-Nordson is a global leader in high-precision sensor technology in the areas of 3D machine vision and semiconductor process measurement. Our sensors are deployed in electronics and semiconductor factories across the planet. The device you are using to read this notice most likely contains integrated circuits inspected by our sensors during their manufacture. Our products are a tight integration of optics, electronics, embedded and application software, and algorithms.

A Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the implementation of software for Nordson Wafersense and 3D MRS sensors, systems, and internal manufacturing processes. A Senior Software Engineer has a high level of autonomy and leads projects from a high level. The Senior Software engineer develops and maintains the software architecture that manages the use of a variety of Wafersense sensors from the Spectrum Application and / or controls the 3D MRS sensors using the PSX API.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Work on Spectrum software for Wafersense sensors, systems, fixtures and internal infrastructure projects. Work on PSX API for 3D MRS sensors. Develop the overall architecture for Spectrum, and the SDKs for controlling the various Wafersense sensors Write unit tests and stress tests for validation of software performance. Assist in testing software releases for other members of the team. Document software designs and instructions for use. Support and maintain software that is released to internal and external customers. Participate in software process improvement team. Stay up to date on latest software techniques and trends. Mentors less experienced software engineers.

Education and Experience Requirements

BS Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or similar) Proficiency in C# programming 5+ years of software development experience Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and git / Azure devops.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

Experience in C++, Matlab, CUDA, and / or Python programming. Experience with user interface design with Winforms and WPF. Experience with communication protocols such as RS-232, TCP/IP and USB 3.0. Experience with image acquisition systems and image processing software. Experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams. Experience working with framegrabbers and machine vision cameras.
