JobSummary:

Thiswill be a fulltime direct placement position. Home Health Aides(HHA) are compassionate caregivers who provide essential support toindividuals in their homes. These professionals are instrumental inhelping elderly individuals those with disabilities and those withchronic conditions maintain their independence and receivepersonalized care in the comfort of their own homes. As an HHA orPCA you will assist with daily living activities such as bathingdressing grooming and meal preparation while offering companionshipand emotional support. Your role is vital in enhancing the qualityof life for clients reducing the need for institutional care andallowing them to live with dignity andindependence.

  • Assistwith Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):Provide personal care assistance with bathing dressing groomingtoileting and other activities of daily living to ensure clientscomfort andwellbeing.

  • MealPreparation and Feeding: Preparenutritious meals according to the client s dietary needs andpreferences assist with feeding if necessary and ensure properhydration andnutrition.

  • Companionshipand Emotional Support: Offer companionshipengage clients in meaningful activities and provide emotionalsupport to reduce feelings of isolation andloneliness.

  • LightHousekeeping and Errands: Assist withlight housekeeping tasks such as cleaning laundry and organizing aswell as running errands including grocery shopping and picking upprescriptions.

  • HealthMonitoring and Reporting: Observe clientsfor any changes in physical or emotional health and promptly reportany concerns to the Home Care Coordinator or supervising nurse.Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring suchas checking vital signs iftrained.

  • MobilityAssistance: Help clients with mobilityincluding transfers from bed to chair walking and using mobilityaids to ensure safety and preventfalls.

  • PersonalCare Planning: Collaborate with thehealthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plansthat meet the specific needs and goals of eachclient.

  • InfectionControl and Safety: Adhere to infectioncontrol protocols and safety guidelines to protect clients andyourself especially in the context of a home careenvironment.

  • Documentation:Maintain accurate records of care provided including activitiesmeals and any changes in the client s condition ensuring compliancewith regulatory standards and organizationalpolicies.

  • Certification:Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Aide(PCA) is preferred but may vary depending on state requirements.CPR and First Aid certification is alsopreferred.

  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of astateapproved training program ispreferred.

  • Experience:Previous experience in home care hospice or a similar setting ispreferred but not required. New graduates and those with a passionfor caregiving are encouraged toapply.

  • Skills:

    • Stronginterpersonal and communication skills with the ability to buildtrusting relationships with clients and theirfamilies.

    • Compassionateand patientfocused approach tocare.

    • Abilityto perform physical tasks such as lifting and transferringclients.

    • Organizationalskills and attention to detail for managing daily care tasks andreporting.

    • Abilityto work independently and manage timeeffectively.

  • PhysicalRequirements:

    • Abilityto lift move and position clients asneeded.

    • Abilityto perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and physical enduranceincluding standing and walking for extendedperiods.

    • Abilityto drive or use public transportation to travel to client homes ifrequired.
