This is an on‐call position which will work 25-30 hours per week and no more than 39 hours per week. The pay range for this position $19.00-25.00 an hour and is eligible to enroll in the City and County of Denver’s 457b retirement plan. This position is not eligible for other additional benefits. On‐call positions may have routine or variable work schedules.

Who We Are 

The Office of the Clerk and Recorder serves Denver residents through three divisions: the Records and Public Trustee Division, the Elections Division and Administration, and is involved in state and local law and rulemaking for all of the functions under its purview. Through these functions, our office is part of some of the most important parts of Denverite’s lives: getting married, owning property, and having a say in their government. By making more than 11 million records available online and providing electronic recording, the Office of the Clerk and Recorder allows people to do business more efficiently 24 hours a day. The Office continues to prioritize innovation in every aspect of its services to deliver convenient, efficient services to the public.

The Division

The Elections Division of the Office of the Clerk and Recorder provides comprehensive, nationally recognized election services for the City and County of Denver. These services include voter records management, voter services and outreach, petition management, elections administration and technology, and ballot operations. The mission of the DED is to conduct accurate, accessible, secure, transparent, and efficient elections.

Location

In this position you will work on site at the Elections Division, 200 W 14th Ave Suite 100, Denver, CO 80204. This is an on-call part-time position that will work 25-30 hours per week including weekends and afternoons. Office hours are 8:00AM – 5:00PM. This position will mostly work offsite in the Denver surrounding neighborhoods which can include various climates.

What You’ll Do 

This position will be supporting the Civic Engagement Associate team representing the Office of the Denver Clerk and Recorder (both the elections and recording offices) by engaging with key stakeholders in neighborhoods across the City & County of Denver.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

Disseminate non-partisan voter information  Conduct non-partisan voter registration  Disseminate information on the services provided by the Office  Identify community leaders and connect them to the engagement team  Identify community events where we should be prioritizing our time  Collect and report data  Attend community events, meetings, and other opportunities where community members gather  Have regular check ins with the engagement team  Lifting and carrying event equipment (20-25lbs) Working late afternoons and weekends  Ability to work outside for long periods of time Flexibility to meet the community where they are and when they are available
