Our client in Dearborn, MI is looking for a Product Engineer Controls. This is a contract position.

What You Will Do:

You will test our Client’s latest powertrain control strategies in a hardware-in-the-loop and in-vehicle environment. The Core Vehicle Controls Software team is looking for an engineer to have the responsibility for validating propulsive controls. You will join a team, with the opportunity to restrengthen existing robust verification methods, support test execution, and demonstrate results through data analysis and reporting.

What you will be able to do:

Perform Software Validation testing, analysis, and reporting for production software on HIL and vehicle. Analyze test results and troubleshoot issues to determine root cause. Report issues using automated reporting systems such as JIRA. Store and retain documents and test records according to established guidelines. 

Basics:

Bachelor’s Degree. 1+ year experience in automotive embedded systems software. Understanding of testing methodologies and ability to utilize test equipment (multi meter, scope, logic analyzer, etc.). Solid understanding of vehicle structure, subsystems, and components (GAS, HEV and BEV). Understanding of Module Hardware/Software Architectures (PCM, HCM, TCM, BCM, Satellite processors – ABS, SJB…). Experience with calibration methodologies and tools (ATI Vision and ETAS INCA). Experience with CAN networks and OBD systems and demonstrated ability to utilize related tools (CANalyzer, PTDiag, etc.). Hybrid position. 

Preferred:

Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or related field.  Familiar with module emulators and interfaces (M5, M6, A7, A8, etk, xetk). Tier II certification. Capable of performing normal driving procedures on public roads in various conditions and in all produced vehicles.
