Pay: $20/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Research and Development team as a Contract Assistant. This role will primarily involve supporting various tasks related to product development, including laboratory work and greenhouse trials. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and manage samples according to R&D protocols.
  • Conduct analytical and physical testing on materials following approved protocols.
  • Document work thoroughly and accurately in lab notebook and database.
  • Assist with lab trials, product formulation analysis, and execution of production and field biology trials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab workspace and equipment.
  • Occasionally assist in greenhouse activities, including field biology trials.
  • Potential involvement in production scale product trials.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Capacity to prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or actively pursuing one in Chemistry, Biology, or Horticulture (other math or science fields considered).
