Superior Healthcare Management is looking for a Healthcare Biller 

Job Description: As a Biller, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our facility's operations. You will be responsible for accurately billing and collecting payments for the services provided to our facilities’ residents. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of billing processes and regulations within the skilled nursing industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Generate and submit accurate billing statements for services rendered to residents in accordance with billing guidelines and regulations.

2. Review patient records to ensure proper documentation and coding for billing purposes.

3. Verify insurance coverage and process claims promptly to facilitate timely reimbursement.

4. Collaborate with residents, families, and insurance companies to resolve billing inquiries and disputes.

5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance regulations and requirements.

6. Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims to ensure timely payment.

7. Prepare and reconcile financial reports related to billing activities for management review.

8. Assist with financial audits and compliance assessments as needed.

9. Provide support and guidance to nursing home staff regarding billing procedures and documentation requirements.

10. Stay informed about changes in healthcare billing practices and regulations to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field preferred.

2. Previous experience in healthcare billing, preferably in a nursing home or long-term care setting.

3. Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office applications.

4. Strong understanding of healthcare billing procedures, coding systems, and insurance requirements.

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.

6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, families, and insurance representatives.

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

8. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer billing regulations and guidelines.

9. Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credentials preferred.

10. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.
