JOB SUMMARY

The Global Sourcing Specialist supports a portfolio of critical orders primarily from overseas manufacturers. This includes all levels of project management from scope definition, budget management and resource tracking in a fast-paced creative environment where priorities can change quickly. High levels of quick, creative problem-solving skills will set you up for success.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· BA degree with business experience in manufacturing, project management or related field

· 3-6 years project, logistics, materials, production, resource, and vendor management. Experience in working with domestic and overseas manufacturing.

JOB SKILLS AND TRAITS

· Project management experience with scope, schedule, budget, and resource tracking

· Excellent problem-solving skills

· Experience in a fast-paced creative environment

· Apparel experience required in knitwear, woven and outerwear product categories.

· Required experience in garment costing and negotiation.

· Experience working with and managing external factory partners.

· Required experience in the use of MS Office including Word, Excel and Teams

· Solid organizational, time-management, negotiating, presentation, communication, and writing skills

· Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other members of design, merchandising and sales.

· Maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with co-workers and clients.

· Promote high level of customer service to ensure smooth operations to satisfy internal and external partners/clients.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

· Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage a portfolio of critical orders and execute them on time, on quality, and on budget.

· Work collaboratively with departmental team managers on department-wide initiatives and management.

· Develop and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with internal partners.

· Manage Purchase Orders with multiple venders for product launches.

· Perform costing exercises with overseas manufactures and present findings to internal partners, design and sales.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT DUTIES

· Work with internal and external clients to manage strategic and tactical aspects of key projects: SOW, scope, issues/risks, schedule, estimates, budget, quality, communication, team, and client relationships on a daily basis.

· Set up and participate in project kick-off, status, and review meetings.

· Ensure project requirements are clearly scoped, communicated, and delivered.

· Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

· Ensure projects are completed within budget and on time.

· Ensure that all work maintains the high-quality standards demanded by BDA and its clients.

We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000. If you are hired at BDA, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. In the spirit of pay transparency, the range listed is the full base salary range for the role and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of BDA’s total compensation and rewards programs, which includes: robust PTO; vacation, a paid volunteer day, holidays and summer Fridays, Benefits; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, 401k; tuition reimbursement, mental health and financial wellness programs and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement. Certain revenue-generating positions may be eligible for incentive compensation.
