Working with Facilities HVAC Technicians, Building Automation Manager, and other Facilities Staff, the HVAC Operations and Maintenance Technician will assist in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of HVAC equipment, Building Management Systems, and associated auxiliary equipment at the MathWorks Lakeside Campus in Natick MA.

Responsibilities
  • Monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnosing HVAC systems for operation and performance at all Natick buildings.
  • Scheduling,conducting and/or monitoring HVAC maintenance by coordinating with vendors in response to service requests.
  • Utilizing the company work order system to document and track all company equipment, operations, and history.
  • Supporting ongoing construction and maintenance activities by helping to monitor and support HVAC vendors conducting installations,maintenance, or repairs.
  • Assist BAS Manager with HVAC control system diagnosis,repairs,and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct regular site tours and ensure efficient operation of all HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Monitor building operations using Building Management System and provide periodic on call support to monitor all building systems at both Natick campuses.
  • Reviewing system operations and efficiencies with Facilities team on a regular basis and provide recommendations for operationla adjustments and energy reduction opportunities.
  • Recommend capital improvements and operational changes for existing facilities to support corporate sustainability initiatives.
  • The schedule for the position is day shift, Monday through Friday 8AM-4:30PM. Must be able to provide non-business hours support as needed/required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 12 years of professional work experience is required. Master licensure is required.
Additional Qualifications
  • EPA Certificate Universal Preferred
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of building HVAC system monitored and/or controlled by building management systems.
  • Experience working in a corporate office environment a plus
  • Experience with Desigo CC and Tridium Niagara control systems a plus.
  • Specific experience with operation and troubleshooting of HVAC controls utilizing Fault Detection Diagnostic Software.
  • Knowledge of hot water heating systems, boilers, central chiller plant operations, chilled water cooling systems, cooling towers,water treeatment including hands on experience in the repair,replacement, and adjustment of system operations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience with package rooftop units and air distribution systems.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams,blueprints/floor plans,schematics.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel,Windows,Outlook Email and Teams)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.with or without reasonable accomodation.
