The Wastewater Maintenance Supervisor position earns competitive pay of $45,204.64/annually. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A WASTEWATER MAINTENACE SUPERVISOR
As a Wastewater Maintenance Supervisor, you spend your day supervising and monitoring performance of employees. Your work typically involves interactions and communications may result in recommendations regarding policy development and implementation. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city. This can include comprehensive, practical knowledge of a technical field with use of analytical judgment and decision-making abilities appropriate to the work environment of the organization. When you are not out in the city, you generally oversee training of new personnel, planning, organizing and designating work details for crews. You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to other divisions within the department as needed. The city needs someone like you with skills in maintenance of utility systems and you finding genuine enjoyment in what you do
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A WATER MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
- High school diploma, GED or equivalency
- Preferred: Community college, vocational business, technical, or correspondence school certificates are likely sources.
- Requires three (3) years' experience in experience in sewer utilities maintenance and construction.
- Preferred: Five (5) years' experience in related field
- Requires three (3) years of foreman or supervisory experience.
- Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
- Preferred: Valid class "B" Commercial Driver's License (CDL) from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record.
- Must possess a Wastewater Collection Class III license from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
- Applicant must take and pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the City's expense.
