Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Silicon Validation Engineer to work in the dynamic *** Artificial Intelligence (AI) Silicon Engineering team. The candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who will thrive in this cutting-edge technical environment. The candidate will be responsible for Pre and Post Silicon Validation as well as Systems Level Testing. It involves driving system team enablement and product deployment in data center at scale.

Typical Day in the Role
Purpose of the Team:
The purpose of this team is: FPGA Design Verification, System level debug, Filing bugs.
Key Projects: This role will contribute to: n/a - confidential.
Typical Task Breakdown and Operating Rhythm:
  • Very few meetings at the beginning and a lot of simulations work.
  • Understanding design spec, creating testbench, running simulation, finding bugs.
  • Part of the role would turn to support the platform and system level testing that we are developing while still working on simulations.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of related technical engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with validation for multiple product cycles from definition to Silicon, including writing test plans, developing tests, debugging failures, and developing tools for pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
  • Hardware Driver, Firmware, Software, and Test development experience and proficiency in C & C++.
  • Hands-on experience with Python development framework.
  • Experience with RTL debug, System level debug, and Software debug.
  • Experience with industry standard interfaces such as PCIe, DDR, USB, Ethernet, I2C, UART, JTAG, and storage devices.
  • Hands-on experience with Emulation and FPGA platforms.
  • Confirmable working in lab and familiar with analyzer, boards, and data collection equipment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with cross-functional teams and has a mindset of result-oriented execution.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of advanced computer architecture, silicon boot flow, and AI/ML workloads.
  • Power Vmin Electrical characterization experience.
  • Test plans, RTL development, and testbench development.

Responsibilities
The Silicon team is seeking a passionate, driven, and intellectually curious computer/electrical engineer to deliver premium-quality designs once considered impossible. We are responsible for delivering high-quality products that can perform complex and high-performance functions in an extremely efficient manner.
  • Lead key components of functional validation of complex ASIC SOC and FPGA SOC.
  • Perform Post-Silicon/FPGA validation by defining testing strategies.
  • Work with Cross-functional teams, Architecture, Software, Hardware Design, Verification, and Partner teams for project execution and also influence next generation designs.
  • Develop Test plans, C tests, and infrastructure to complete functional validation of complex design and report bugs/issues.
  • Understand Software AI/ML Workload and perform testing with it.
  • Run tests, debug failures, create stress and performance scenarios to meet test plan goals.
  • Actively participate in chip bring-up and write test firmware to support various teams.
  • Innovate to improve validation efficiency through methodologies and tools.
  • Coach and mentor others in your areas of expertise.
