Join Waymo's Compute Team as a Silicon Validation Lead

We're seeking a highly skilled Silicon Validation Lead to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and implementing test plans for silicon bring-up, validation, and characterization. You will collaborate with chip design, design verification, emulation, and software teams to ensure the readiness of our silicon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans for silicon bring-up, validation, and characterization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure silicon readiness
  • Perform hands-on bring-up and validation in the lab
  • Conduct functional validation of sub-systems and IP
  • Spearhead silicon debug efforts and provide root-cause analysis

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in silicon bring-up and validation
  • Strong understanding of digital IC and chip architecture
  • Proficiency with lab equipment and debug tools
  • Good scripting skills for test automation, data collection, and reporting

We offer a competitive salary range of $217,000 - $275,000 USD, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including a discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous company benefits.
