JOB DESCRIPTION

Description:

1.Estimating: Prepare accurate and comprehensive project construction estimates based on project requirements, scope, and specifications.2.Project Controls: Implement and maintain robust project controls systems, including cost and scheduling management, to monitor project progress, identify deviations, forecasting and implement corrective actions as needed.3.Support monthly invoicing.4.Drawings and Specification Installation Compliance: Ensure that all construction activities adhere to project drawings, specifications, and quality standards, coordinating closely with the engineering team to address any discrepancies or issues.5.Materials and Equipment Receiving: Oversee the receiving, inspection, and tracking of materials and equipment delivered to the project site, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery to support project timelines.6.Subcontract Coordination: Assist in the coordination of subcontractors, including scope clarification, scheduling, and monitoring performance to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety regulations.7.Requests for Information (RFIs): Manage the RFI and submittal process, including timely submission of RFIs, tracking responses, and facilitating resolution of design or specification-related queries to minimize project delays.8.Materials and Labor Forecasting: Collaborate with project management and procurement teams to forecast materials and labor requirements, ensuring adequate resources are available to support project schedules and budgets.9.Turnover Packages: Prepare comprehensive turnover packages upon project completion, compiling all relevant documentation, drawings, manuals, and certifications for client acceptance and project closeout.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.•Minimum of 3 years of experience in project engineering or related roles within the heavy industrial construction industry.•Strong understanding of project management principles, including cost control, scheduling, and quality management.•Understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling•Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents. •Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel and Word•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.•Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA safety regulations and best practices.•OHSA 10, 30 or MSHA safety certification.•Willingness to travel to project sites frequently and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
