Security Installation Technician

Matson Alarm, a Pye-Barker Fire & Safety company, is hiring for a Security Installation Technician in our Modesto, California location.

Position Summary: The Security Installation Technician serves new and existing accounts by analyzing work orders, understanding how to install and troubleshoot systems, investigating additional complaints, and resolving problems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the installation of security equipment
  • Review blueprints/drawings to determine device locations and placement
  • Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customer equipment
  • Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
  • Ensure a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
  • Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site
  • Maintain accurate record of work performed
  • Ability to use a variety of hand tools
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Being a dependable, responsible professional who is dedicated to working in a growing, fast-paced, and demanding environment
  • Ability to diffuse high tension situations while always maintaining professionalism
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in the industry required
  • Must be proactive in completing jobs and tasks with little or no direct supervision
  • Flexible schedule and availability
  • Must be able to obtain/possess alarm agent permit where applicable and according to Federal, State, and Municipal laws
  • Auto insurance coverage must meet company standards throughout employment
  • Maintain valid Driver's License
  • Must read and speak English
