Overview:

Little Angels Catholic Preschool is committed to providing our students with an excellent academic and spiritual foundation in a safe, nurturing and loving environment. We operate in partnership and on the site of St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish in McKinney. Children learn through an engaging teacher-led curriculum and play-based exploration. We strive to instill the Catholic faith and impart strong Christian values as children experience God’s love.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to serve as the Director of our Little Angels Catholic Preschool (LACP). The Director will be responsible for leading all aspects of the preschool’s operations, ensuring that it upholds the principles of Catholic education while providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of early childhood development, a commitment to the values and teachings of the Catholic faith and implementation of the LACP Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities:

Educational Leadership:

Develop and implement a curriculum that integrates and promotes Catholic values and teachings into all aspects of the preschool program.
Assist, guide and support teachers in lesson planning and classroom management.
Foster a culture of academic excellence, creativity, and spiritual growth among students and staff.
Administrative Leadership/Oversight:

Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, enrollment, staffing, and overall school environment.
Incorporate and utilize dispute resolution skills.
Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
Collaborate with parents, community members, the Board, and church leaders to promote the Preschool’s mission and goals.
Staff Development:

Recruit, hire, train and retain qualified educators and support staff who share the school’s commitment to Catholic education.
Conduct regular evaluation/coaching, while providing ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance staff performance and morale.
Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment where all team members feel valued and empowered.
Pastoral Care:

Serve as a spiritual role model by nurturing students, families, and staff while fostering a community rooted in Catholic values.
As a practicing Catholic, coordinate religious activities including monthly school Mass, Christmas programs, daily prayer, etc. throughout the school calendar year.
Working closely with the board and staff, identify, provide, and, when appropriate, choreograph pastoral support and guidance to families in times of need.
Community Engagement:

Cultivate positive relationships with families, alumni, donors, and other stakeholders to promote the Preschool’s mission.
Identify, organize and implement outreach events, fundraisers, and community service projects that reflect the school’s commitment to charity.
Collaborate with local Parishes, schools, and organizations to strengthen ties across the broader preschool community.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Early Childhood Education, Education Administration, or a related field.
Possess and maintain applicable valid state teaching license, director certification and Dallas Diocesan Safe Environment.
Preferred minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, including at least 2 years in a leadership or administrative role.
Strong understanding of Catholic teachings and stewardship, with a commitment to integrating them into the preschool curriculum and culture.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and lead by example with integrity, empathy, and compassion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other applicable software applications.
Compensation:

Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
