Audiology Technician

Essential Functions Perform audiometric testing on all employees enrolled in the hearing conservation program Record all test results Review all audiograms and select abnormal/problem audiograms for review by physician Notify employees of a standard threshold shift according to the OSHA Regulations Retest employees with standard threshold shifts and schedule within OSHA requirements for retesting Perform an otoscopic exam on every employee prior to every audiogram Refer to the appropriate sources for further testing or medical treatment Coordinate annual maintenance and calibration of the audiometers and testing booths Perform daily audiometric calibrations and equipment checks and record appropriately Provide education, training and counseling regarding hearing conservation to employees Assist in the selection and fitting of hearing protection devices Be knowledgeable of all Premise policies and procedures related to the Hearing Conservation Program  
Job Requirements:  Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) certification preferred but not required 2-3 years experience as a Hearing Conservationist in an occupational health setting preferred
