Job Description
Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with significant experience in consumer electronics. You’ll lead the mechanical design for FBIN’s connected products from initial concept through mass production. This role provides the opportunity to take complete ownership of mechanical architecture through detailed design, prototyping, validation, DFM and manufacturing (EVT, DVT, PVT, MP) stages. To be successful as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at FBIN, you’ll have a passion for building innovative solutions and love bringing Consumer Electronic products to market.
POSITION LOCATION:
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with all work performed in North Olmsted, OH or Meriden CT.
RESPONSIBLIITIES:
Architecture and analysis, parts design, documentation and functional validation of mechanical components and assemblies. Working with ID, Product and Program Management to give input on new product design efforts. Driving system integration of mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies. Interfacing with suppliers/partners, EE, manufacturing and operations, quality and other development groups. Conducting rapid feasibility studies for optimal cost, schedule and performance trade-offs. Collaborating and partnering with other engineering groups on complex multi-discipline projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, other relevant field, or equivalent experience. 7-10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design of consumer electronics, IOT, medical device, or similar electro-mechanical products. Proven success shipping several high-volume products.
