SUMMARY

The Master Planner is responsible for balancing supply and demand within the Renewal by Andersen windows manufacturing site. This role will work closely with our demand planner and site schedulers, and Value Stream managers, to create and manage a production plan that meets the operational demand, while optimizing capacity utilization. This role also works with cross functional partners to develop and execute plans to improve customer delivery and total cost metrics in accordance with business strategy.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

·Own and maintain production plan, to meet the operational plan and cost optimization models.

·Review and communicate lead times according to demand and site capacity.

·Maintain the scheduling tool, adjusting production requirements to align with planned and demonstrated output.

·Advise on risk to plan and recommends recovery plans

·Lead Supply Chain Planning portion of the S&OP process

·Provide recommendations on how to meet service objectives and lower our total cost to serve.

·Participate in project work that requires collaboration with internal leaders in other departments such as IT, sourcing, operations, order intake or logistics.

·Perform as a subject matter expert for information and material flow from order entry to customer delivery.

·Key contributor to MRP integration team

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 

·Demonstrated expertise within the production planning discipline, including relevant methodologies (ERP, lean, architecture, supplier development)

·Effective communication and presentation skills. Able to articulate short and long-range plans, risk to plan, and facilitate discussion and decision making.

·Strong ability to extract, analyze, and use data to make decisions affecting multiple manufacturing lines

·Demonstrates knowledge utilizing lean tools used across an organization including product flow from order to delivery.

·Experience with change management strategies and processes required to support an organization.

·Proven technical leader who creates energy, lives integrity, leads change, creates a vision and plans, inspires people to achieve goals, develops people and delivers results

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

·Four-year degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related degree and 5 years’ experience preferred.

·Demonstrated expertise within the production planning discipline, including relevant methodologies (ERP, lean, architecture, supplier development) 

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with Infor LN planning tool preferred.
