Position Description The Office Secretary provides administrative and secretarial support to the Cemetery Staff and visitors. The Office Secretary provides customer service (via telephone or by direct face-to-face contact) to veterans, their dependents and family members, and members of the general public. Completion of high school or equivalent, and minimum experience consisting of two years performing secretarial or clerical work involving filing, answering phones, typing duties, data entry, and completion of forms. Sorting mail as well as mail distribution.

Mandatory Skills

Demonstrated ability to type at a minimum of forty words per minute. Candidate must also know how to operate standard office equipment, ., copier, fax machine, etc. Candidate must have strong Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel skills.
