Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study. As an Engineering Intern, you will gain experience working as part of a team on medium to large scale transportation projects in the Greater Pennsylvania Area. You will build analytic and design skills, create designs, perform calculations, and draft construction plans under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support to the roadway, structures, and traffic engineering groups on highway design projects.
- The intern will work under the direction of engineers to support design staff on engineering calculations, quantity calculations, cost estimates, construction plans, and supporting materials.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Must have completed 2 years of study in the applicable program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Capable of creating spreadsheets using Excel, MS Word and standard office software.
- Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as MicroStation, InRoads, and OpenRoads).
- Good communication, organizational and analytical skills.
Additional Information
- We are interested in every qualified candidate eligible to work in the United States. F1 Visa sponsorship is available for current F1 visa holders in the United States.
