Oshkosh Corporation is seeking an Autonomy Intern to join our team.

About the Role

This internship will provide students with hands-on experience in the field of autonomy engineering, focusing on the design, development, and testing of vehicle control software. The successful candidate will work closely with our Autonomy Engineering team to develop and implement software solutions for autonomous systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop reliable, functional, and cost-effective vehicle control software
  • Develop and test programming for vehicles and systems
  • Support various systems through troubleshooting or reprogramming the system
  • Develop test cases at the unit and bench level for requirements-based tests on autonomy software
  • Execute design and integration support for unmanned vehicle control/embedded systems
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree student majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Strong academic record, GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Knowledge of basic programming (C/Python/MATLAB)
  • High level of computer skill (Microsoft applications and Internet)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of various degrees of information
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with C, C++, python, or Linux programming or similar programming language
  • Experience and knowledge of OpenCV and ML/AI
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink software modeling
  • Experience writing embedded applications on microcontrollers
  • Experience working with Controller Area Network (CAN) and the J1939 protocol
