Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday 2:30pm-8:30pm.
Length: 1 year +

What’s a typical day as a Computer Information Systems Paraprofessional? You’ll be:
  • Schedules, administers, proctors, scores, and records college placement tests, professional certifications for various industries, and make-up exams, when applicable.
  • Utilizes college software to determine testing eligibility, input scores, log, scan and email writing samples.
  •  Works with college staff to create testing schedules.
  • Creates and maintains spreadsheets of testing data.
  • Communicates Testing Center activity (e.g., schedules, web updates, flyers, etc.) to appropriate faculty, staff and external community partners.
  • Assists in loading software on computers in the BIS/CIS labs, as needed.
  • Administers make-up tests on an individual basis for instructors, if applicable.
  • Assists in loading software on computers in the BIS/CIS labs, as needed.
  • Maintaining inventories, ordering supplies, and arranging for equipment repairs.
  • Monitoring safety and security of work area and ensuring cleanliness.
  • Coordinating and staffing open lab hours.
  • Issuing and checking-in instruments, teaching aids, supplies, equipment, and materials.

•Associate Degree or higher in Computer Information Systems OR Associate Degree or higher with a minimum of 16 college credit hours in Computer Information Systems
