About theRole:

As a Senior MechanicalEngineer you will play a key role in driving the development designand optimization of cuttingedge technologies. This positioninvolves working closely with crossfunctional teams to createinnovative solutions for expanding product lines focusingparticularly on downhole oil tools. You will be responsible foroverseeing the design process conducting product testing andensuring that new technologies meet both customer needs andoperational requirements. The role emphasizes a combination ofhandson design testing and collaboration with internal teams toachieve the highest standards in product development.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Design evaluate and qualify new products andtechnologies focusing on downhole oil tools and highperformancemechanical systems.
  • Generate conceptual designsand lead design reviews to ensure compliance with operational andsafety requirements.
  • Oversee and/or conductproduct testing documenting results and suggesting necessary designchanges to improve functionality andperformance.
  • Collaborate with manufacturingteams to enhance product manufacturability reduce costs andoptimize parts for efficient assembly.
  • Leadprototype builds develop assembly procedures and prepare qualitycontrol documentation to ensure adherence to projecttimelines.

RequiredQualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or arelated field from an accreditedinstitution.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience inmechanical engineering with a focus on design development andtesting of downhole oil tools.
  • Strong expertisein mechanical systems including highpressure and thermal systems aswell as material strengthevaluation.
  • Proficiency in generating andinterpreting mechanical drawings and 3D modeling with SolidWorksexperience being essential.
  • Excellentcommunication skills both written and oral with the ability toeffectively convey technical information and collaborate acrossteams.

PreferredQualifications:

  • Indepth knowledge of material scienceparticularly in relation to downhole environments andmaterials.
  • Experience with test planningexecution and documentation processes particularly for designqualification and certification.
  • Stronganalytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions basedon testing outcomes and designevaluations.
  • Familiarity with cost optimizationstrategies for manufacturing and assemblyprocesses.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft OfficeSuite including Word Excel Outlook andPowerPoint.
