Key Responsibilities:

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Sr. Project Manager to support the R&D team to ensure the company’s goals and initiatives are met.

This position leads a team that provides overall project management responsibility for assigned major brand product innovation and cost savings projects. Responsibility also includes acting as a project management lead on assigned complex innovation, cost savings and network optimization projects. This position will assign work responsibilities and projects to project management direct reports in addition to direct managerial oversight, guidance and coaching of to ensure successful project implementation. This role requires the ability to work cross functionally with peers and leadership alike to address business or personnel challenges and break down barriers that may impede progress. Demonstrated ability to influence across teams, organizational levels and with internal and external stakeholders required with a proven project management track record leading and delivering large, complex projects in CPG, Food or related industries. Must maintain a lens of continuous improvement, including training, process design and mapping, change management and implementation. The successful candidate will be a leader and an example for best-in-class project management and thought leadership in the Project Management team.

Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

Manage assigned portfolio of TBG innovation, productivity, design to consumer value and change management initiatives to drive volume, revenue and margin growth Expertise in stage-gate, project governance and agile methods to drive projects with varying levels of complexity Enable portfolio management and prioritization by tracking and measuring financial KPIs, critical success factors and tradeoffs to ensure resourcing is aligned to deliver business priorities Manage portfolio management system and data analytics to provide real time views of project pipeline, financial performance and gaps and communicate risks and opportunities to BUs to drive thoughtful decision making Ability to share expertise and independently lead a team of project management direct reports. Assign project management resources and partner with BU and cross functionals through portfolio prioritization Workload evaluation and management within a team of direct reports to ensure project execution and development of team expertise. Successfully partner with cross functionals to address project or personnel issues to ensure projects are delivered on time. Ability to manage a high volume workflow in a fast paced, action oriented environment. Act as a mentor to other parts of the organization for best in class project management methods, tools and leadership. Thought leadership in independently identifying process opportunities or gaps and developing, socializing and implementing to drive improvements to our business. Lead and manage ongoing Stage Gate, Governance and Project Management 101 training. Develop and lead new training modules, as identified Tackle ambiguous problems to determine and prioritize business strategies Demonstrated ability to implement short and long term strategies to support organizational operation and transformation Lead, influence, and collaborate across functions to drive results through formal and informal channels

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor degree in business, engineering, food science, marketing or other related discipline. Formal certification in Project Management (from PMI or equivalent Project Management Association) a plus. 5-7 years experience as a project manager, delivering large, complex projects in CPG or related industries. Experience with commercialization of new food or consumer products and changes to existing products is strongly preferred. Proven experience and a strong background successfully completing large complex projects on-time and within budget. Previous management experience a plus. Demonstrated experience in business process development or improvement initiatives a plus. Experience in managing and driving change within a fast-paced environment required. Advanced analytical skills for data aggregation, synthesis and reporting. Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting to varying levels of the organization, including senior leadership Advanced PC skills: MS Office suite, MS Project, Power BI, portfolio management systems, SAP Periodic travel: < 10%
