This is a grant funded position with an end date of 8/31/2024, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward research goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in program development, including writing vision and mission statements, grants, and proposals, while also developing program blueprints, and formulating comprehensive business plans.

Purpose

The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Dell Medical School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager. This role is designed for a dynamic individual who will work closely with the Division Chief to spearhead the development of new programs and initiatives, including but not limited to specialty clinics for Autism, ADHD, Mood and Anxiety, Eating Disorders, Tic and OCD, and Trauma. The position involves a significant focus on developing grants, seeking philanthropic opportunities, expanding the research portfolio, and enhancing training programs within the Division.

Responsibilities

Strategic Program Development : Assist Division Chief to identify opportunities for growth and innovation, in the strategic planning and execution of new programs within the division, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the Department of Psychiatry and Dell Medical School, and in articulating the vision and mission of new initiatives, ensuring they reflect the department's and Dell Medical School’s values and objectives.

Blueprint and Business Plan Creation : Develop detailed blueprints and business plans for each program, outlining the scope, objectives, timeline, budget, and key performance indicators. 

Fundraising and Philanthropy: Work alongside the Division Chief and Development Office in fundraising efforts, identifying potential donors, and developing proposals to secure philanthropic support for new and existing programs.

Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, community partners, and donors, to build support for the division's initiatives.

Research and Training Program Enhancement: Assist the Division Chief to strategize the expansion of the division's research portfolio and the development of comprehensive training programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of excellence, along with full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Program Implementation and Evaluation: Assist overseeing the implementation of programs, monitoring progress against goals and objectives, and making adjustments as needed to ensure success.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required and at least five (5) years of professional experience. Proven experience of at least 5 years in program development, preferably within a healthcare, academic, or non-profit setting. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop comprehensive program blueprints and business plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve divisional goals.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or related fields is highly desirable. Experience in fundraising and philanthropy, with a track record of successfully securing funding for programmatic initiatives. Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration) preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or other similar demonstration of formal project management training.

Salary Range

$70,000+ depending on qualifications

Working Conditions

May work around standard office conditions

Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

Occasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines

Occasional interstate, intrastate and international travel

This position will be assigned on-campus with an expectation to report to work on-site during the scheduled work week.
