Location: This position is based at our Global HQ in Morgan Hill, CA on a hybrid basis (Tues-Thursday based in the office).

Summary: The Specialized University (SU) Content Creator will develop and deploy educational videos and presentations within category working directly with program leads. Will ensure content creation from marketing initiatives can be utilized for educational needs to limit redundant content. To execute content the Content Creator will work closely with the SU content services team for filming and editing needs as content requires.

Is a hardworking storyteller and passionate bicycle connoisseur who loves talking about cycling and can understand how a product is positioned within the Specialized lines as well as the industry at large.

Is a product specialist, a source of truth, and is tasked with understanding all Specialized technologies and how they benefit the rider’s experience on the bike.

Will develop and deliver product marketing assets that will also support educational content creation for the department’s Retailer & Rider digital learning platforms. These assets will supply on brand product messaging to worldwide Specialized University teams to deploy, supporting the growth of the program at a global level.

Will work cross functionally with Rider Care to help build the product knowledge base to proactively mitigate Rider Support impact as well as content creation aimed at social media, utilizing ambassadors and other relevant internal voices.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Distill the sophisticated and complex technologies that make up Specialized products into tangible marketing and education pieces that will earn the rider and retailer’s understanding of why our product is the right choice for a given experience.

Work in close collaboration with Marketing, Rider Care and Specialized University teams to assure content creation that is retailer and rider relevant, and further supports the brand.

Co-Develop educational content, and excel at message delivery in person, on camera and in print.

Provide timely and relevant market voice clarification for product groups during product message development process.

Aid in development and cultivation of “key opinion leaders” for ease of influencing and information gathering, namely Social Media, Press, Shops, and riders.

Regular in-field travel that supports the role. (Retail visits, attendance of key cycling events, Int’l subsidiary interaction, and any travel related with content creation work)

Ride Bikes, a lot. Riding is Learning.

WHAT’S NEEDED TO WIN

Extensive bicycle or outdoor retail experience (3+ years) is preferred

Ability to craft presentations in PowerPoint and thrive on speaking publicly to a group or on camera

Familiarity with video and photo editing tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop.

Be an independent problem solver, able to work with little direct supervision and instruction

Supreme collaboration skills, confidently provide critique as well as openly receive it

Ability to prioritize workload from multiple stakeholders with timely results

Be a hardworking bike enthusiast, with a passion for all types of cycling

Be expressive and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong visualization capability, knowing what imagery best supports written words

Have a current passport, driver license and clean driving record. Occasional internation and domestic travel is required.
