As a Medical Assistant you will be ensuring the well-being of patients while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, front office and clinical staff. This role is based in one of our location practices.
Our teams utilize a collaborative working model to build connections across our centers and communities. The primary center for this position is White Pond Dr. Suite Akron, OH , though you may also operate in other local work sites on an as needed basis.

Primary Responsibilities:
Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals and answer patient calls as neededPerform Clinical Intake with patients to include taking and recording vital signs and patient historyAssist patients as needed with walking, transfer, specimen collection, exam preparation, etc.Maintain clinical supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage of biohazardsClean exam/procedure rooms, instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection controlAssist providers with minor, in-office procedures and perform point-of-care testingYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or completion of an equivalent adult education programActive Medical Assistant Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 3 months of employmentCPR and/or BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to employmentPreferred Qualifications:
