As a Department Analyst I, you will function as a primary resource for operating units regarding the collection of data, analysis and evaluation of operational resources, services, programs, systems, budgets and procedures. The Provider Enrollment department’s mission is to ensure optimal revenue is collected for all Cleveland Clinic Institutes.



The ideal future caregiver is someone who:

Has Ohio/Florida government enrollment or healthcare administration experience.

Has EPIC denial research experience.

Is proficient in Excel.

Is comfortable communicating with all levels of caregivers, including hospital leaders and the legal department.

Is based out of Northeast Ohio (preferred).

Responsibilities:

Analyzes and evaluates operational and financial functions of administrative and operational units.Analyzes departmental resources, services, systems, budgets and programs.Prepares reports based on analysis.Conducts basic statistical analysis and evaluation of unit services and performance.Identifies program or service strengths, weaknesses, and financial impact.Identifies opportunities for service and program improvement.Develops special reports and recommendations.Assists with the development of operational plans, procedures and systems.Reviews and evaluates current procedures and systems and develops recommendations for improvement.Maintains awareness of and complies with various regulatory guidelines ( JCAHO, FDA, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).Other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field.

Certifications:

None required.

Complexity of Work:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Excellent analytical, communication and customer service skills.

Work Experience:

One year of statistical analysis experience, or five years of relevant experience in a health care setting.Offset: High School diploma/GED and five years of experience.Offset: Associate’s degree and three years of experience.Offset: Master’s degree may substitute for experience

Physical Requirements:

Requires extensive sitting and dexterity to perform work on a PC.Typical physical demands include ability to sit, stand or walk extensively.
