Linemen perform electrical construction work including maintaining poles, power lines, auxiliary facilities and equipment for the distribution of electricity.

What You'll Do

Install, maintain and repair distribution facilities of all types Operate and install cutouts, line switches, recloses and other sectionalizing devices Refuse line and transformer devices, test de-energized lines and equipment and remove grounds Investigate consumer complaints and make repairs to energized electrical distribution lines Perform other tasks as requested by leadership

What You'll Have

High School Diploma or equivalent 5+ years’ experience in the electrical services industry  CDL Class A License preferred; must acquire CDL beginners permit within 60 days

Work Environment

Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
