Overview:

TRC is seeking a Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) for our Phoenix, AZ office. This position will be working with our Power Distribution Engineering team and be a part of our growing Power Sector. In this role you will be responsible for performing as a QEW for low to high complexity projects to assist with fielding activities to open equipment as needed for verification. This includes working closely with clients using thorough knowledge of industry practices and procedures to give consideration for the best source of power.

Responsibilities:

You will interface with TRC client representatives and with client customers to assess their electric needs, open equipment as needed, and determine best solutions for facilities. You will perform, with a minimum of supervision, a variety of field related duties including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Inspections of residential and commercial new services entrance equipment to ensure customer installed equipment meets Standards.
  • Able to retrieve miscellaneous field information including addresses served by given electrical equipment.
  • Qualified Electrical worker (QEW) or Journeyman Lineman that is trained to access of UG electrical equipment
  • Ability to determine location of newly installed overhead and underground (poles, transformers, service, etc) needed to serve electrical customers.
  • Will coordinate and meet with customer on site as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of related electric utility experience is required, must have journeyman license and qualified to access UG equipment for inspection.
  • Demonstrated communication skills to deal with internal/external clients
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check work
  • Experience in working with customers and contractors both in person and via phone
  • Experience with appropriate standard workplace software tools (Microsoft Office)

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Companys annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
